What is not allowed in Vatican Museums?

  1. Visitors must remain in designated, supervised areas at all times.
  2. Photography is not permitted in certain sections of the museum, such as the Sistine Chapel.
  3. No food or drinks are allowed inside the museum.
  4. Visitors are not allowed to touch or lean on any artifacts.
  5. No large bags, umbrellas, or backpacks are allowed in the museums.
  6. Pets and animals, other than service animals, are not allowed in the museum.
  7. Visitors must wear appropriate attire, including covered shoulders and no shorts, tank tops, or miniskirts.
  8. Large groups must make prior reservations.
  9. The museum reserves the right to search visitors’ bags at any time.
  10. Wheelchairs, scooters, and strollers can be rented at the entrance.
